Screenplays/TV Pilots
My true passion is screenwriting. I’m always writing and rewriting features and TV pilots. There isn’t enough time in the day, week, year or lifetime to get everything in my head and heart out and into the world. But that won’t stop me from trying. Most of my scripts feature female leads, because it’s what I know best, and every single one has a twisty plot line. I’m especially proud of a screenplay I sold to HBO and Guillermo del Toro.

Documentary Films
Making documentary films has opened up an entire world to me. One I would have never experienced otherwise. From a crime lab and medical examiner’s office to a school in the hills of Peru and smack dab in the middle of an immersive off-Broadway play. A lot of magic happens in documentary filmmaking and I don’t think enough filmmakers talk about it. I’ve seen and experienced some breathtaking things and I’m so grateful to all the people who appeared on camera and told me their story.

Books
When I switched my undergraduate degree from journalism to history, everyone asked me what on earth I would do with a history degree. Great question. I didn’t know. But I did know that I loved history more than journalism school. I went on to work at history museums and archives—eventually writing some history books. However, these days I’m much more interested in writing thrillers—with two in progress. And a children’s book series that I wish existed when I was a little reader.
